Shuttle

There will be shuttle service (also know as the The Jetty Bus) to and from the wedding venue.  It will leave from in front of the Hilton Garden Inn at exactly 4:30pm, so if you want to catch it, please be there by 4:20pm.  You do not have to be spending the night to ride the shuttle.  You can leave your car by the Hilton and The Jetty.  The shuttle will leave the wedding to return to the Hilton at 10pm.  This is a great option if you plan on having a few drinks.

So Close I Can Almost Taste the Cake!

We are hitting the final few days and really can’t wait now.  We are working on the final details and running all the last minute errand and trying not to drive ourselves too crazy.  We are looking forward to a fun weekend and hope that for anyone around, you join us at any of the various wedding events that will be going on.  Don and I can’t wait to see everyone this weekend and hope that for all of you traveling, you have safe trips.  Please contact us if you have any questions prior, although I probably won’t be answering my phone too much Sunday.  Call Don!

Final Meetings, Fittings and All That Last Minute Goodness

I had my fitting last Monday and the dress (pink with ruffles and lace butterflies) and it was perfect.  I just have to pick it up after it’s been ironed.  We had our last meeting this weekend out at the venue to go over the final details.  We also will have one more meeting with the florist to give them a table count and to see exactly what our centerpieces will look like and with the DJ to finalize our music.  At home we are working on all those fun DIY projects we’ve come up with and are waiting for the favors to arrive.  It feels like a lot to do with so little time left but we are anxious for the day to get here already, and staying busy like this helps fill the time.

One Month!!!

Holy crap, one month to go!  As cliché as it sounds, it really seems like yesterday that Don and I started planning.  I felt like September 4th was so far away.  Now, just a month from today, we will be surrounded by our family and friends on the most exciting day of our lives.  I suddenly feel like there is so much left to do and I don't know how we're going to get it done.  Actually, the things left to do aren't so bad and the to-do list is growing smaller.  And now that Don has sold his parents' house, he has PLENTY of time to help.  And except for a few hiccups, we haven't had much stress either (that's not an invitation people!).  We are getting so excited and can't wait to see everyone.

Hotel Blocks

If you are planning on spending the night and want to stay at one of the hotels we have a block of rooms reserved at (The Holiday Inn Express, 410-827-4454 or the Best Western, 410-827-6767), you must make your reservation by August 3 to get the special rate.  When you call, tell them you are with the Campbell/Weary wedding.  There are also other hotels in the Kent Island area or in Annapolis.  If you do choose to stay in Annapolis, be sure to allow yourself extra time for crossing the bridge.  If you need any help, please let us know.

Great Wedding Picture

This picture is from Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joey Flacco's wedding.  LOVE it!

I guess with the lockout, he'll play wherever he can!

The Invites Have Gone Out!

For some of you, this is your first time on our blog.  Welcome!  As you can see, we use the blog as a way to get information about our wedding out to you and to share funny things we have found while planning the wedding.  You can leave comments on any of the posts.  You can also email us at staceycanddonw@gmail.com

If you haven’t already you should be getting your invitation in the next few days.  The wedding is on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Silver Swan Bayside in Stevensville, Maryland.  This is just over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on the Eastern Shore.  If you are planning on coming for the weekend, it’s a busy one, and there is a lot to do.  On the left side you’ll find a tab you can click with some suggestions.

The wedding starts at 5 o’clock in the evening and is formal attire.  You don’t need to dress in a tux, but no jeans, dress shorts or casual sundresses.  Suits and ties for the guys and a cocktail-type dress for the women is the look we are going for.  Again, if you’ve got questions, let us know.

If you are bringing children to the wedding and would prefer a kid-friendly meal instead of one of the options listed on the response card, contact us.  Also, if you would prefer a vegetarian meal, we can arrange for that too.

Keep checking back on the blog for additional information about other events as the wedding gets closer.  For those not ready to go to bed after the wedding we’ll be having a little after party and if you are spending the night Sunday, please join us Monday morning for brunch.  Details to come.  We can’t wait to see you all!
