Proposal

We went out to dinner in Washington DC at a restaurant that we love.  After, we took a cab down to the WWII Memorial.  We walked the Memorial and Don took a picture of me under my home state.  From there I wanted to walk to the Lincoln Memorial, but he wanted to go to the Tidal Basin to see the last of the Cherry Blossoms (it was the end of the Cherry Blossom Festival).  I finally gave in, and we started walking around the water.  We stopped not far from the Jefferson Memorial in a quiet spot.  Don was holding me and kept telling me me how much he loved me.  We were there for quite a while, and I was starting to get cold.  I wanted to start walking again, and when Don said he loved me again. I said I did too, and what more did he want me to say?!  That's when he got down on his knee and asked me to marry him.  I of course said yes and grabbed the ring (it was dark and couldn't see it).   But that wasn't the end of the night.  Don had arranged for Jodie and Dan to meet us out for drinks after to celebrate.
